Wait - a new Heavy Blinkers album?!? Tara, it's a good thing I read your blog. That completely made my day.

Also, nicely done on the shuffle. Your shuffles continue to prove that you are far, far hipper than I. I just tried and the first five songs were Teenage Fanclub, Joel Plaskett, Emmylou Harris, Plumtree... and Iron Maiden. Wait, who snuck that onto my ipod?!?

what's wrong with any of that stuff?? I've got all that on my Ipod (except the Iron Maiden cuz my Number of the Beast is on vinyl -- how bad is that????) My Ipod robot could have easily spit any of that out -- are you saying that those are less than hip options? Do you wanna fight??

Oh don't get me wrong - the first four are all-time favourites and pretty indicative of what gets played on my iPod most often (have I ever mentioned that I still regularly mourn the demise of Plumtree? Sigh. Also, Plaskett is doing four album-themed nights at the Horseshoe in December and I think you need to come down for at least one.)

But Maiden? Not so much embarrassing as just an fit with the rest. And yeah, probably not so hip. Certainly better than any number of things that could have popped up (Safety Dance, anyone??)

Me too!! "Mass Teen Fainting" is my all-time favourite album title. even to this day I haven't found anything to trump it.

Joel Plaskett you say? I would love to but it's hard to make a trip that close to Christmas -- do you have dates???

Remember that time we saw Plumtree and the Salteens? And they were so good and so cute and so fun... and then they went and split up? Booooo.

The Plaskett shows are December 10 to 13 I think - but the show on the 11th is the one I want to go to the most cuz it's the Down at the Khyber show. I think the Truthfully Truthfully show is the next night, and I kinda want to see that too.

Kelly- it's cool to still love plumtree - I do too! I loved them oh so much "I'm sick of your morals, I'm sick of them..." And for the record, Tara's list had Maow on it!
