happy anniversary

So 1 year ago today I made one of the best decisions of my life. And I'm talking one of those highlight reel worthy kind of decisions. I said yes to Marc in the backyard of our first home together in the most perfect wedding ceremony we ever could have imagined.

You know how people say you meet "the one" when you're not even looking for them? That couldn't be more true in our case. I knew Marc for years before we started dating but fell in love when I couldn't have been expecting it less. Sappily enough, he healed a heart so broken that broken isn't even the right word to describe it. In healing, I maybe realized that, in reality, it probably wasn't even broken in the first place. It was probably just waiting for him.

That was one of the loveliest things I've ever read. *dabs teary eyes*

Happy (one day belated) anniversary to what very well may be the world's greatest couple. I was so honoured to be a part of your big day, to see my oldest friend marry a man I couldn't imagine being any more perfect for her... but I've been even more honoured to be a part of your lives in general. I adore you guys, you're forever near the top of my 'all time favourite people' list, and I just wish we saw you way more often than we do.

A million Kelly & Steve hugs (OK, Steve would probably throw in some manly arm punches or handshakes or whatever it is men do to show affection) and best ever wishes for an eternity of wedded happiness. You guys make it all look so easy.

Love K.

PS - I'm counting the days til Hillside... an entire weekend of Marc & Tara is too exciting to even wrap my head around!!

Indeed, Happy 1st. That was so sweet, I really couldn't decide if I need to brush my teeth, or weep. In the end, I chose neither, and was left with just a really good feeling.

In case it's not altogether clear, I liked what you wrote, back there.

Ahhh thanks to all for such sweet congrats! We're new at this whole thing and I'm in awe of people like my parents who've been at it for 40 years. Marriage = great.

Teary hugs to Kelly -- thanks for standing next to me and looking so damn beautiful and understanding our wacky little wedding on a Thursdayafternoon. It meant so much that you were a part of it after all these years. I'm happy you like this boy the best too out of all the other boys. He's way better.
