what would you do for me?

Say what you might about this guy, something about what he's doing makes me feel all poetic and flowery and I just think it's darling.  In a nutshell, for varying sums of money David Horvitz will do things for you.  Examples:  If you send him $250 he will read The Little Prince in front of the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street in the middle of a work day or if you give him $68.33 he will take an old friend to lunch and take a photo of them together, mail you the photo and tell you what they ate and describe their history as friends.  Some other faves of mine include:
  • If you give him $30, he will walk around NYC and find the first homeless person he sees and buy them whatever they want to eat;
  • Elaborate travel plans like -- if you give him $1626, he will go to the small Okinawan island Taketomi and send you an envelope filled with star sand;
  • If you give him $2443, he will rent a car in Iclenad and find you 3 things.  He will find you a lava rock and send it to you.  He will find the Aurora Borealis and send you a photograph of it. He will find you the best hot spring and send you a photograph of him sitting in it.
  • If you give him $10 he will think really hard of someone who he needs to apologize to, write them a letter of apology, make 2 copies of the letter and send one to you and one to the person he's apologizing to;
  • For $250 he'll buy you a PO Box in NYC for 1 year and spend the year putting little things in it. You spend the year knowing someone is amassing a treasure chest of things for you and when the year is up, you go to NYC to collect everything.
And the list goes on with things like that.  I like it.
