city chicken

I saw this Eglu's on the interweb and honestly, they're so cute and modern that they kinda make me want to keep a couple chickens in my backyard. We've got a perfect set-up for them, they're great for your garden and who doesn't want fresh, organic eggs every day?? I know I do!!! And as long as you don't keep a rooster, you don't have to worry about the whole rooster noise nonsense.

I would definitely get chickens if I could. I think you should do it!

Wonder how Sadie would take to them?

Not sure -- she is turning into a bit of a bird freak so it's likely there could be trouble. but you never know. Marc says that I wouldn't want to clean them cuz chicken droppings apparently smell atrocious. But they say it's not bad as long as you only have a couple. AND they can stay out all year!!!

hey - you may still want to have a rooster if you ever consider getting chickens. Apparently chickens are very scared to explore the yard and will stay in their coop unless a rooster scouts out the territory for them!
