ol' dirty phoenix? l'il joaquin? dj jazzy joaquin?

So if you've got your ear to the gossip mill than you'll know that a while back giant sucky baby Joaquin Phoenix said he was leaving acting to pursue a music career.  And while we all were expecting him to come back with a moody singer/songwriter Tom Waits-ey kind of project, Lainey is reporting that Joaquin Phoenix's long awaited musical attempt is in fact, wait for it, a rap career!!!

Apparently there is a documentary being filmed about his transition from actor to musician and the other night he got up on stage at a club and proceeded to unleash his hip hop self on the poor audience.  And oh yes, the film crew was there to capture the whole moment for the film.

Wow...I really did not see that coming.  I've been dying to write about this all freaking day....
